Still shooting at Quantabacook Lake, Searsmont, Maine. I sat in an ice shack for two hours to get this shot. I think it was well worth it.

- I have several blogs. My latest has samples of portraits. Many of them are students and their families. I've been a high school art and photography teacher for over twenty years and have shared many of my trips with students and adults. I've led trips to Manhattan, Boston, Quebec City-Canada, and Europe. There is a feeling in Tanzania that is unmatched by any of the other places I've explored. The people are wonderful and the location is both remote and thriving with wildlife. In fact, there is no other place on earth that can claim the diversity and sheer numbers of animals found in Tanzania. Over the years, photography has naturally developed into something that is more than a hobby. I am presently working on a photo book that will focus on the wildlife of Tanzania as well as the Swahili language. I've been working on learning Swahili for awhile now and will continue to do so for years to come. While in Maine, I spend a great deal of time studying Bald Eagles.
