Belfast, Maine, not far from Lake Quatabacook, is another great place to spot eagles year round. No such luck on this recent, cold morning. A beautiful sunrise nonetheless.

Ravens often take a look at the fish I put out. They are curious and sometimes bring eagles along.

Inside the "eagle blind". We sat for hours one day recently, with no luck, only to watch from a distance the very next day as three eagles circled above the same cove we were watching.

The eagles are putting on a great show on Lake Quantabacook.

I took this photo this morning.(Jan. 17, 2011) It's a young eagle that I recognoze from last year. He has more white, now that he's getting a little older. I believe it's a male due to his smaller stature compared to a couple of the other eagles I often observe.
